Are you a consumer? Are you aware of your rights and duties
A person who uses goods or services for consumption is called a consumer. Example- when you buy a mobile handset or when you are using the net banking facility for the bank, etc. we often find intentional and unintentional reasons resulting in faulty products or bad after sales service. When the provider of that good or service refuses to replace or repair ten litigations arise.
In USA any law related to consumer protection is being enforced by the US Federal Trade Commission. The law related to this subject has evolved and has undergone several reforms to keep pace with changing times. Some significant US law that can be cited in this regard includes Consumer Credit Protection Act and Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act (1975).
It is better to be careful than sorry and be alert while buying anything. In case you have to take the last course of action- litigation. It is better to approach an expert who is specialist in this field.
